Dec 05: Somewhere in the land of music Viswema, Nagaland, filled the air with joy and gratitude as ‘The first hostel parents’ day’ in St Joseph’s Girls’ Hostel was held on 22nd September 2018. About 250 parents, sisters, catechists and the office bearers from various associations of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Viswema graced that lovely and joyful celebration.At the very outset, Sr.Sulahele BS the Hostel Warden,on behalf of Sr Harsha, the local superior and principal, accorded a warm welcome to all the parents and thanked them for their co-operation and collaboration in the formation of our young ones.
It was such a solemn and charming day when the hostellers displayed their talents in the presence of their parents through various cultural items. It is the need of the hour for the parents and the hostels’ authorities to join hands in order to help the students grow into the fullness of their abilities in life. ‘The world is fast changing and our young children cannot be slow in the process of their growth’ was the motive of our sisters, teachers and parents.
A parents’ representative expressed the sentiments of their gratitude to the sisters for their love, care and service to the children entrusted to their care. Thus, the bond of love among the parents, sisters and the children was manifested and strengthened.
