August 23: ‘Independence ’ the word sounds so pleasant to ears and when it comes to ‘Independence Day’ oh! What a wonderful feeling because this was the day 72 years ago we, Indians won freedom from many years of slavery. Independence Day celebration started with the Chief Guest Mr. Paramavtar Singh Gill Joint Commissioner of GST – Ludhiana lighting the lamp, followed by a short prayer and beautiful prayer dance. The Chief Guest was accorded a floral welcome. Then a beautiful Patriotic Song was melodiously sung and depicted by the students. Then the children presented a tableau in which they show emergence of new India after Independence. The Chief Guest encouraged the students by appreciating their efforts. Vote of thanks was followed by National Anthem to conclude a wonderfully executed programme under the able guidance of our worthy Headmistress Sr. Dr. Sudha.
