Sep 14: “Kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal” says Steve Maraboli

Heeding to the cry of the poor and the needy around us who were struck by the natural calamities in the second week of July, we the staff and students of St. Michael’s Convent High School, Ambewadi, Dandeli extended our helping hand by pooling together the basic necessities like blankets, bed sheets, buckets, towels, mats, clothing, groceries and eatables shared with the flood stricken people of Belgaum & Gokak area.

The second core value of Bethany educational society “Compassionate love for the Poor and the Marginalized” was actualised and there was a sense of joy in sharing with those needy people. Most of the students and teachers generously and cheerfully contributed of their own.

We handed over the materials to the distributors BDSS – ‘Belgaum Diocese Social Service’ Centre, Dharwad and they thanked Bethany Educational Society, The Headmistress and the students of our school for being sympathetic, kind hearted and reaching out to the needy people in time.
May God Be Praised Always & Save Us
