These words hold true for one of the illustrious ex-students of Stella Maris Convent School – Anupam Mishra of 2006 Batch. He is a great achiever who is able to reach the pinnacles of success as he poured his energy to his passion of serving the society. He scored 81st rank in Indian Administrative Services (IAS) Examination this May. Anupam was brought up in a modest surrounding and simple life and thoughts led him to inner space and more focused approach in life. He was placed in the able hands of S.M.C mentors for his education in the year 1994. Good habits and values inculcated during his school life helped him  to realize his dream.

His remarkable performance in X Board Examination of scoring 90% was the beginning of his success story. After that there was no looking back.  He further completed his B.Tech qualification from IIT Madras and M.Tech from Anna Nagar University, Madras. He served as Deputy S.P in CISF and scored 575 rank in All India IRTS Examination. On 10 th May this year his vision of serving the society came true as he achieved 81st rank in IAS Examination conducted by UPSC Delhi. It is not only a great accomplishment for Anupam but it is also a matter of pride for his family, friends and Alma Mater.

On 12 th May 2016, SMC family organized a felicitation program to honour him. His motivational words addressed to the school added fervor to the program. He expressed the school motto, “love and service” was a constant source of inspiration to achieve his goal. He threw light on the career options and encouraged the students to join Public Services. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Principal, Sr Irene BS and his mentors. He was felicitated with a memento by Sr. Principal to commemorate the event after a warm welcome. Anupam Mishra became a source of inspiration for many and was widely appreciated and applauded by the enthusiastic S.M.C students for his achievements.
