August 22: A general assembly was held by the 8th-grade students of St. Theresa's School to celebrate the victory of the students who won the Runners Up trophy.
The assembly began with a prayer, followed by a prayer song.
The presence of Sr. Lourdes - the Principal, Vice Principal - Sr. Reena, teachers, and students added to the joy of the celebration.
The Inter-school Silver Jubilee Independence Day Cup Football tournament was organized by the Dakshin Kannada Football Association at Nehru Maidan on August 15, 2023.
The football team players secured the runners-up trophy. The 17 players were felicitated, awarded trophies, medals, cash prizes, gifts, and congratulated for their commendable performance by the Principal, Vice Principal, and teachers.
Abdul Khader Juwaiz was awarded 'The Best Player Trophy' as he played the best among other team members individually.
Mohammed Aneeq was declared "The Best Emerging Player."
Mrs. Doreen D'Souza shed light on the auspicious gathering of the football team members. Mohammed Aneeq shared his views on the commitment, effort, and hard work put in by the members to make the school proud.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Sir Joseph Rodrigues, whose extensive experience and strategic insights transformed the team's performance both on and off the field. He was awarded the title of "Elite Coach." Sir Anthony was thanked for his dedicated coaching of the students, which played a pivotal role in their success.
The program concluded with the singing of the national anthem.
