Dec 08: St. Joseph's Convent School joyously commemorated its Golden Jubilee with a diverse array of cultural programs, creating a vibrant tapestry of celebrations. The auspicious event was inaugurated by His Excellency Rt. Rev. Dr. Varghese Chakkalakal, who ceremoniously lit the lamp, symbolizing the commencement of the festivities and the unfolding of a multitude of events.
The esteemed gathering was enriched by the enlightening address of Rev. Sr. Judy Varghese, the Provincial Superior and Corporate Manager of the Southern Province. Rev. Sr Deena John, the principal of our school presented the annual report. Municipal Chairman Mr. Mujeeb Keyemthody, Fr. Sebastian Karakkat, Vicar of Sacred Heart Church Kalpetta, Rev. Sr. Josephin Shylaja, the local manager of our school, and Mr. Baiju, the PTA president, also imparted their insights and thoughts to the assembled guests. Construction of an open auditorium was the golden Jubilee project of our school. Thus the long cherished dream of having an open auditorium was realized. Thanks to Rev. Sr. Rose Celine, the president of BES and the PTA.
As a mark of gratitude and respect, the school took a moment to honor the former Provincials, esteemed principals, and previous PTA presidents, acknowledging their invaluable contributions. This token of appreciation served as a heartfelt gesture, acknowledging their immense role in the success and prosperity of St. Joseph's Convent School.
His Excellency Rev. Dr. Varghese Chakkalakkal honored the AISSE toppers of 2022-23 and the winners of Wayanad Sahodaya Kalotsav. The grand finale of the Golden Jubilee year culminated with 'Memoriae 2023.'
