Dec 23: St Antony’s Hr Pry School on 23rd December evening gathered for the Annual School Fiesta 2016-17. Rev. Fr Jyothilal IMS, Director of Amruthavani School for the learning and hearing impaired presided over the function. The chief guests Rev. Fr Jacob Kollanoor, Parish priest, St Antony’s Church Ponnampet, Mr Jeevan T.B., CRP Ponnampet, Sr Melvina, correspondent and Sr Tina, Headmistress were dignitaries. The guests were led to the stage by the school band and welcomed by Kaver S.A. of Std VII. The dignitaries appreciated the capabilities of our students by distributing the prizes.
“Children should not be self centered and selfish and should learn to live for others” were the inspirational words By Rev. Fr Jyothilal, the president of the function. “Students are not all, each student in the primary school itself must learn to act cultured and civilized to develop a good personality.” Were the interesting words by Rev. Fr. Jacob Kollanoor. Mr Jeevan appreciated the discipline of our school in his speech. Respected Head mistress Sr Tina put forward the school report 2016-17 and enabled the cultural programme to be continued.
Gowrav, Bipin B.R. of Std VII participated in the National level hockey match at Hariyana and Divin K.D. participated in the state level chess were honoured by the president of the function. Nanditha of Std VII secured 1st in pick and speak, Thafsiya of Std II secured II nd Urdu Recitation and the girls of lower primary classes secured first in dance programme in Prathibha Karanji and were honoured by Rev. Fr Jacob Kollanoor. Mrs Prameela, class teacher of UKG was honoured as an untiring teacher by the Headmistress Sr Tina for taking the least number of leaves and attending her students with much care and attention.
The cultural programme given by all the classes from L.K.G to VII were all vibrant. Thrilling and colourful. It contained Kolata, Bhangda, fusions and dances of different languages. “Royal Dream” a drama with a moral “ Never try forbidden acts in this programme. Christmas tableau gave a Christmas message to the audience. Vote of thanks was proposed by Thasliya of Std. VII. The Headmistress being the host of this evening gathering made the teachers proud by appreciating their efforts and provided them a relaxing refreshment.
