“Behold, I make all things new.” (Rev 21:5)

Greetings of peace, joy and love as we usher in the new academic year 2022-2023 with fresh hopes and aspirations.
A good beginning makes a big difference. Make sure you begin this academic year with new hopes and positive mindset to make it a brighter chapter in your school life full of knowledge and learning. Let us welcome this new year with new energies to experience and learn new things. May you make the best of this coming year with your hard work, patience and perseverance. Life is full of challenges and challenges are opportunities to grow and blossom. I wish you all the very best in this new academic year.

We are in a period of transition with the New Education Policy 2020 being implemented in several states of our country. This calls us to update the human resources in our institutions. The quality of education is to be improved through creative, innovative and scientific methods to keep abreast with the new trends in education. We are to be empowered to face the challenges emerging from the New Education Policy, disseminating the secular values of liberty, equality, and fraternity enshrined in the preamble of the constitution preparing the students to be responsible and humane citizens of the country.

I am extremely happy to offer my heartiest felicitations to Sr Sandhya, the new Secretary of Bethany Educational Society ® Mangalore and the Chief Editor of Suvidya Lahari, who has assumed her responsibility on 15.05.2022. I extend my best wishes and prayerful support to her in all her endeavours to make the educational ministry vibrant and effective by giving it a new focus during the coming six years in tune with the vision, goal and core values of BES, under the inspiration of its Founder Servant of God Raymond FC Mascarenhas.

I am overwhelmed with gratitude to God for the dynamic and creative leadership of Sr Mariette, the outgoing Secretary for the past six years. With her farsighted vision and strong determination, she has left no stone unturned to make the goal “Transformative Education for Fullness of Life” a reality. Facing bravely and with optimism all the challenges and odds she has explored new pathways to respond to the educational needs of the students, especially during the last two years of COVID-pandemic during which the regular school curriculum was interrupted and consequently the learning of the students adversely affected.

I pray to the Almighty to bless all of us with a successful completion of the year. Let us move forward with courage and confidence trusting in the infinite mercy of God and his wisdom.
