As we draw the curtain on the academic year 2024–25, we find ourselves at a reflective juncture. While many schools are now enjoying a well-deserved summer break after a vibrant and demanding academic calendar, others have already stepped into the new school year with renewed enthusiasm, anticipating their share of the summer respite ahead.
The year gone by has been particularly momentous, marked by two landmark celebrations: the Twin Jubilee commemorating the 150th Birth Anniversary and the 125th Ordination Anniversary of Mgr Raymmond FC Mascarenhas, and the Province BES Convention. Mgr Raymond Mascarenhas, a trailblazer in the realm of education, ignited the flame of learning that continues to illuminate the path of the Bethany Educational Society. As torchbearers of this noble legacy, we—the educators and staff—remain committed to passing on this enduring vision to generations of students.
The BES Convention, held across the province, served as a meaningful platform to realign ourselves with the foundational ethos, vision, mission, and core values of BES. It reinforced our shared priorities and deepened our collective commitment to the transformative power of education.
The academic year 2024–25 was rich in opportunities for growth, exploration, and achievement. Our students ventured into new academic and personal territories, challenged themselves, and celebrated the fruits of their diligence. The steady stream of board examination results now coming in stands as a testament to their perseverance and focused effort.
None of this would be possible without the unwavering dedication of our staff. Their multifaceted role—as mentors, guides, facilitators, and role models—has been pivotal in shaping the academic, emotional, and social journeys of our students. By offering insightful feedback, compassionate support, and steadfast encouragement, they have empowered students to assess their progress, address challenges, and strive toward personal excellence.
As we reflect on the memories, milestones, and meaningful progress of the past year, let us carry forward its spirit into the new academic term. May we embrace fresh beginnings, face new challenges, and seize every opportunity with renewed passion and purpose.
