Nov 29: St Theresa’s School, Bendur hosted its Annual Day with great exuberance on 23th November 2018 on the theme “ORENDA - The Power to Heal”. The Chief Guest Mrs Philomene Lobo, the Director of Public Instruction, Secondary Education, Bangalore graced the function and delivered an inspiring message on unique talents of students and teachers role in guiding the children in right path.
Rev. Fr Vincent Monteiro, the Parish Priest of St Sebastian Church, Bendur bestowed the guest of honour. Sr Lillis BS, the Vice President, Bethany Educational Society presided over the function and highlighted the virtues of St Therese and asked the students to follow the right path through right education.
Sr Mariette BS, the Correspondent of St Theresa’s School, Bendur welcomed the Chief Guest and the other dignitaries. Sr Philomene Saldanha, the Principal presented the Annual Report highlighting the achievements of the School and the students. The function was marked by the vote of thanks to the Guest and the parents by Sr Shanthi, the Vice Principal.
The programme was anchored by Craig, Simran, Haleema and Himanshu. It began with invoking God’s blessings by the students of Std VI. The school choir enthralled the audience with the melodious music. The gathering was welcomed with a mesmerising dance by the students of Std VIII. The students of Std VII dressed in colourful attires presented various cultural concepts. “Naguve Chetana”, a kannada comedy skit was enacted by the students. A dance drama on the theme “Power to Heal” was presented by the students of Std IX and X, giving the message of healing the world.
The programme was centred on the theme “Orenda – The Power to Heal” and it was expressed throughout the programme.
