May 24: Human Tafficking is modern-day slavery and involves the use of force, fraud or coercion to obtain some kind of labour. To make the teachers acquainted on such issues a knowledge based orientation on human trafficking was conducted in Bethany .Convent School for the staff.
Session began with prayer service of 45 minutes after which the session was taken up by the resource person Dr.Sr.Jessy Maria. She focused on root cause of human trafficking. She said that human trafficking is an open wound on the body of contemporary society. It has revitalized millions of people all over the world and today constituted a wide spread insidious reality in several business sectors particularly in domestic work.
