August :The 98th Foundation day of Bethany Congregation was celebrated with fervor and enthusiasm, on the premises of St. Joseph’s Bathinda. It was indeed a joyful day where the students of class IX enacted a meaningful programme depicting the life and mission of Fr. R.F.C. Mascarehnas. The program began with lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a floral tribute to Father Mascarehnas by the Principal and the sisters. A wonderful dance drama was staged highlighting the missionary activities of Father Founder and the significant role of the Congregation of Bethany, in imparting quality education to the students specially to the girl child. The students danced to the tunes of peppy numbers which left the audience thrilled end delighted. Principal Sr. Veena D’Souza, in her message, encouraged the students to tread the path shown by Father Mascarehnas and guided them to be upright and loyal in their conduct. She also stimulated the audience by asking various questions pertaining to the Congregation with an assurance of awards to the winners. It was indeed a heartwarming and an uplifting function, where everyone enjoyed and also learnt a lot to be better Josephites.
