August 21: The students of x std. were taken to an Educational visit to the Anatomy Dept. of DMC. Dr. Hitant, The Head of Anatomy Department, sensitized the children on the issue of organ donation. She conducted a very informative orientation on the statistics of organ donation and appealed and motivated the children to spread the awareness of organ donation as India has the lowest ratio of organ donation per million people. The children were really touched with the information given to them. After the session they were taken separately in the dissection lab and the doctors explained the structure and functions of human physiology by showing to them the preserved human body organs. The children could actually see the real organs, feel them, hold them in their hand and understand their functioning in a better way. It was a very enriching experience for the students as all their queries and doubts related to functioning of human body were cleared by the doctors with lot of patience and understanding.
