August 27: Mary Mount School organized a very interesting Science and Art Exhibition on 14th August 2019. The event saw young enthusiastic participants, from Classes I to VIII putting up about hundred and more exhibits comprising of innovative working models and investigation based projects.
The programme began with Bible reading and prayer followed by an introductory speech by Sr. Sylvia, the Headmistress. The event was inaugurated by Mr. C. Lalrosanga Joint Secretary LR &S Dept. MINECO. He also disperses his duties as Editor to Mizoram Science Journal. During his inaugural speech he reminded the children that there are platforms for students to present their new ideas and learn from each other and an opportunity to find out original thinkers. He was impressed by the presentation and congratulated the participants.
The exhibits were eye openers on various topics related to Green Energy, Agriculture, Preservation of environment, Bio-diversity etc.
The judges applauded the students for their novel ideas which would help the world to become a better place to live in. Sr. Sylvia, the Headmistress thanked all the participating teams for making this event a success and appreciated their novel projects. Students from nearby schools had come to view the projects which in turn proved to be a learning experience for them.
