August 30: Independence day brings with itself a vibe full of patriotism, respect for sacrifice and pride. It is a mixed feeling of happiness and nostalgia. These emotions were captured effectively and celebrated with utmost respect by the students and staff of Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana. All members of this institution gathered on this day to mark the 73rd Independence Day of India. The function began with a prayer to seek the blessings of the Almighty and to express gratitude for gifting us such brave souls. This was followed by patriotic songs which envoked pride and love for the motherland in everyone's heart. Through a skit, they sought to explore and remind everyone of the true meaning of this day. A dance capturing our beautiful traditions followed. The chief guest, Dr. (Mrs.) Mukti Gill addressed the audience and left them the message of positivity and instilled in them a feeling of patriotism and pride in our nation. It was one of the best celebrations of this historic day.
