Nov 28: A day was set aside for the Flying Champions of Sacred Hearts’ on 22nd November 2019 as the Annual Sports Meet and Children’s Fest.
The Sports Meet was inaugurated by welcoming the guests Mr.Kishore Kottari, City Corporator, Padav Central, Rev.Sr.Rekha BS, Superior of Santa Cruz Convent, Mr.Pushparaj Poojary, the PTA Vice President followed by the Headmistress Rev.Sr.Lavita BS and Rev.Sr.Norma BS the KG Supervisor through offering the Guard of Honour by the School Band.
The School witnessed the disciplined March Past of the students. The Sports meet was declared open by letting the dove free to fly high in the sky and by igniting and taking around the Sports Torch by the District, State and National level players. The students participated with great enthusiasm in all the events.
Mr. Kishore Kottari, the Chief Guest of the day spoke about the importance of education and discipline to students. He also guided the students not to be addicted to the gadgets instead to spend their time with the nature.
Rev.Sr.Lavita the Headmistress welcomed the gathering. Mrs.Lovelyn Fernandes proposed the words of gratitude. Anchoring of the ceremony was done by Mrs.Prabha Monteiro and Mrs.Rose D Souza.
The day was memorable for the parents too. Throughout the day parents were found in the school ground encouraging the students. The Annual Sports Meet of the PTA was held on the same day at 3.00pm. A large number of parents participated in volley ball and throw ball. The winners were awarded.
