Dec 16: From daily routine of teaching and learning, the P U students of Rosa Mystica were given two hours of awareness programme on drug abuse. Ms Hycinth, Jeevanidhi Trust, Bajpe addressed the students on ill effects of various drugs with impressive examples. She also stressed that drugs themselves are not bad. Drugs can be sold under the rules and direction of concerned authority because if a doctor has to conduct a surgery he needs to administer a drug that keeps the patient unconscious , or a pain killer lasting for a certain period is administered. Depending on context some drugs are used as medicinal.
Who can save the present youth from drug abuse?
It is parents, teachers, friends and good counseling centers can be of great help to those victims of drug abuse.
‘Every drug has to be produced under certain rules and regulations. Over doze of any drug is detrimental to health and life’ said Ms Hycinth.
