March 04: Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory. On 18 February, 2020 it was a great experience for the Therseians as it marked the Annual Visitation of Sr Rose Celine, the Superior General of the Bethany Congregation and the President of BES.

A meaningful programme was staged during the assembly where the dignitaries were warmly welcomed. Sr Rose Celine addressed the students, teachers and presented the two great events which marks the History of Bethany Congregation.  In the year 2020, Theresians begin the Silver Jubilee year and the Bethany has reached the threshold of centenary year of its Congregation.

In her message, she quoted Leviticus 25:25 that gave meaning to the Jubilee year.  She briefed us about the struggles of our Father Founder, with only four sisters and now with the blessing of Fr Raymond, the seed of education which was planted has now grown into a mighty tree in the form of Bethany Congregation.

We were enlightened with the motto of the Centenary year – “Let Bethany grow, flower and bear fruit.”  We as teachers were motivated to work on meaningful project in accordance with the vision and goal of our founder. Other guests of honour on the day of visitation were Sr Cleopha - the Administrator of the Mother House and Sr Anita Shanthi, the Superior of the Bethany Convent. Sr Philomene, the Principal and Sr Lourdes, the Vice Principal of the institution were also present on the occasion.

The staff and students were greatly enriched, inspired and motivated.  Truly it was a day of insight and reflection.
