Sept 30: "Teacher is a lifelong learner". The teaching fraternity has to keep abreast with ever changing technology and the mindset of students. Keeping this in mind BES Mangalore Province organized a day’s seminar for the Bethany Eng. Med. Higher Primary teachers on 4th September at Sacred Hearts' campus Kulshekar. Around 85 teachers attended the seminar and benefitted.
Sr. Shubha BS, the Educational Coordinator of the Province welcomed the gathering. In her keynote addresses encouraged she the teachers to use the attractive Apps to prepare the lessons and motivate the students to the School. Sr. Lavita, the Headmistress of Sacred Hearts’ School, Kulshekar, grouped the teachers into different subjects like Mathematics, Science, Kannada and English. Each group was trained by the teachers themselves who were well versed in using different, skills and Apps and preparing the videos on lessons. The KG section teachers were trained by Mr. Preetham the “Teach Next Coordinator”.
At the end as we evaluated the day teachers expressed their confident to make changes in their teaching by using different Apps. They also expressed their gratitude to the management for organizing the effective Seminar. It was coordinated by the Rev Sr. Cicilia Mendonca, the Corporate Manager of Mangalore Province.
