Feb 11: Bethany Convent High School, Sao Jose de Areal Salcete Goa celebrated the 72nd Republic Day on 26th January, 2021. Mr. Frazier Charles Colaco, the Computer Teacher of Bethany Convent High School. The Chief Guest Mr. Frazier Charles Colaco along with the Headmistress and the Manager of the school unfurled the National Flag amidst loud cheers. The students and the school staff saluted the National Flag.
A prayer service was conducted by the primary teachers invoking God’s blessings on our country through the prayer service.Miss. Christine of class X delivered a speech highlighting the importance of the day. A group of teachers along with the students sang a patriotic song ‘Jai Hind Bharat’. In his speech the Chief Guest emphasized on The Constitution of India, The Fundamental Rights of the citizens and The Special Educational Right of every child. Sr. Dora, the Manager of the school extended her warm wishes of the Republic Day to the students and also congratulated Sr. Cleris along with Mast. Vegan and Mast. Elvy for securing first place for their science project “Use Autocharge App and Reduce Smartphone E-waste” at the Children’s National Science Congress at State level. Sr. Ida Lobo, the Headmistress of the school presented flowers to the winners as a token of appreciation. The vote of thanks was delivered by Sr. Flenciya Vaz.
The program ended with a message - Create a great nation through collective efforts from all individuals.
