‘Each one is called to leave the place better than it is found. As students, you have seen the school how it was when you entered here, now when you leave this place, you should ask yourself ‘how better I have done this place, my alma mater.’” said Most Rev Dr. Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore Diocese on 22 March 2021. He was addressing the gathering at Sacred Hearts’ Institutions, Kulshekar during his visit to school as part of his programme of Pastoral visit to Cordel Parish. Bishop also spoke on the devotion of Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary and blessed the staff and students.

At the very outset of the programme Bishop was accorded a warm welcome with School band. The students of Sacred Hearts’ High School led a meaningful prayer on the theme ‘If God comes to your house today’.  Sacred Heart English Medium Hr. Pry. School students presented a beautiful welcome dance. High school students greeted the Bishop with a song.  Sr Leera Maria BS (HM, High School section) introduced Bishop to the audience and heartily welcomed him along with other guests on the dais. She also presented a brief history of Sacred Hearts’ Institutions. Mrs Sylvia Lobo proposed vote of thanks. Mr. Bernard D Souza compered the programme. Rev. Fr. Victor Machado, (Parish Priest, Cordel),  Sr. Shubha BS (Province Education Coordinator), Sr. Ida Janet BS (Superior, Santacruz Convent) and Sr. Lavita BS (HM, Sacred Hearts Eng Med Hr Pry School) were present on the dais.
