March 30: The official visit of Sr Mariette, the Secretary of the Bethany Educational Society, Mangalore to St Sebastian Hr . Pry School, Bendur was heldon 6th March 2021
The visit was anticipated with a great excitement as all the staff and students prepared to welcome her. All the teachers and students of Classes 6th and 7th gathered together in the school hall along with Sr Mariette, the Secretary of BES, Sr Roselyta, the Treasurer. The programme begun with a prayer which was followed by the welcome address by Sr Nancy the Headmistress of the school.
Sr Mariette delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking message with several anecdotes about the role of students and teachers in building a vibrant and a humane society. She interacted with the students and asked them to share the positive impact of Covid-19 pandemic in life, such as the problems and the difficulties that they faced; How it affected them? Who helped them during the pandemic? How did they spend their time during Covid -19 etc. The above questions and the shared life experiences of the students stirred their hearts to withstand against the unpleasant circumstances and situations of life.
Sr Mariette thanked and appreciated the dedicated and committed services of the headmistress and the teachers in spreading the name and fame of the institution. She went around the classes and interacted with the students. She called upon teachers to pay individual attention in providing better education to all the Students who enter the portals of St. Sebastian’s school, Bendur.
