Sr Rose Celine, the Superior General and the President of Bethany Educational Society ® Mangalore of the Bethany Congregation paid an official visit to the St Sebastian Hr Pry School, Bendur on 18 March 2021. Sr Cleopha, the Administrator and Sr Anitha Shanthi, the Superior of Bethany Convent accompanied her. All the staff and students welcomed them with a thunderous applause.
The Superior General addressed the students. In her speech she highlighted during the Covid 19 pandemic period how the poor people suffered due to hunger and unemployment. She also told them how the Bethany Sisters rendered all possible help to the rich and poor people without discrimination because of their different caste or creed. She asked the students to share their experiences during the pandemic period. Many shared their experiences which were touching. Those who shared their experiences received prizes from her.
The students expressed their immense gratitude to the Bethany Sisters for distributing food packets, required food grains and other things to them and others, thus relieving their suffering and hunger during difficult days of pandemic.
