June 30: "Great leaders don’t tell you what to do rather they will show you how it is done".
To inculcate the leadership qualities in the students and to give them a feel of functioning of the administrative body, a school pupil governing body was formed.
The Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2022-23 was held on the 29th of April, 2022. The chief guest for the event was Mrs. Sabitri Kalita - Principal of Betkuchi High School, Lokra, Guwahati - Assam.
The ceremony began with the prayer and the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Mrs. Sabitri Kalita, Principal – Sr. Benedicta Sapna, teacher respresentative and SPL of the year Trishna Saha.
A welcome note was addressed by the School Principal Sr. Benedicta Sapna.In her welcome note she inspired and encouraged the elected leaders to be dutiful and responsible.
The march by all the prefects was a spectacular event which set the mood for the event. The Captions were vested with the slash and the assistant leaders were given the flags. The leaders took an Oath in the presence of the Principal, Chief Guest and it was witnessed by teachers and large number of students.
In her address, the Chief Guest Mrs. Sabitri Kalita appreciated the efforts by the school for providing opportunities to the students to take part in activities, and form leaders for the future. she congratulated the newly appointed school leaders. She insisted upon them to use these opportunities and balance them well with academics to excel in both.
To solemnize this event the Bihu Dance Competitions was organized. This competition was judged by Mrs. Mousumi Dekathe dance teacher and Ms. Meenakshi Medhi the Alumni member who are a well-known Bihu dancer. At the end of the program Ms. Meenakshi Medhi and Mrs. Mousumi Deka and the students performed a beautiful Dance.
