Nov 05: Diwali, the six letter word brightens one’s spirit, releases endorphins and ushers brotherhood. This Indian religious festival represents the victory of good over evil.

The Festival of Lights was celebrated at St Joseph's Convent School, Bathinda with ardour. Inter-house Rangoli making and Bulletin Board decoration competitions were conducted on the theme -'Green Diwali'.

Team of class VIII students welcomed Sisters and faculty members with the traditional tilak ceremony. The program commenced by invoking God's blessings through prayer. The festivity proceeded with Shabad and an enlightening skit depicting the real meaning of Diwali. Traditional dances were a catalyst in escalating the festive fever. The enthralling welcome of the reverent Lord Ram, Laxman and Goddess Sita through the aisle left everyone awestruck.

Sr Ophilia Lobo, the Principal emphasized the importance of strengthening of bond with the family members and appreciated fraternity's generosity exhibited during the 'Joy of Giving' week.

The entire program grabbed attention of its each spectator and the gleeful faces of children shone brighter than earthen lamps.
