Nov 29: A magnificent sports extravaganza was organized at Bethany School, Mulki in which all the students from Class I to class VII participated with great fervour and manifested their athletic skills with an unimpeachable finesse.
The mega event was commenced by the arrival of the respected dignitaries: Sr Rita Sharal the Headmistress, the chief guests for the day, Sr Veena the Vice-Principal of Madeline College, Mr Lancy D Almeida the PTA Vice President and Fr Abraham the Director of Divine Call Centre and Guest of Honor, Sr Marie Lyta the Correspondent were Present for the same. Prayer song was sung by the students, this was followed by the Lighting of the Torch and the Floral Welcome of the Guests of Honour.
The event proceeded further with the March Past led by the School Head boy Master Eldon D Almeida followed by school band and the squads of all four Houses and Hoisting of the School Flag which was followed by the singing of the School Anthem and the Oath taking Ceremony by the Sports Leader M. Ihaz.
Subsequently, Annual Sports Meet 2022 inaugurated and blessed by Fr Abraham.
The next visual treat was presented by students of classes 1 and 7 with their spectrum coloured drill, which was an inspiring, enthusiastic and beautifully coordinated Display.
Thereafter students participated in different events followed by the prize distribution ceremony. Prizes were won by various houses for separate categories and Yellow House created history by winning the Championship for the fourth time.
The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks by the Mrs Marita who thanked each and every one who worked day and night tirelessly in order to conduct a successful Annual Sports Meet. The event ended with singing of the National Anthem by the audience and beating of the retreat by the School Band.
