Feb 10: The World Day for Consecrated life was celebrated in Bethany Convent High School, Salcete Goa for all the Sisters of the Bethany community for their dedicated and Sacrificial life for the society and in the educational field. The Sisters were welcomed warmly by pinning of flowers and with scented candles leading them to their seats while the hymn ‘A Consecrated Day Song’ was played in the background. A short prayer service was conducted with the theme ‘Lord, you alone are my heart’s desire’.
The Sisters were then offered flowers as a token of love and gratitude. This was followed by an item ‘We all love you’ by the Pre-Primary students and a song congratulating the sisters was sung by the staff members. A game was also conducted for the sisters. Sr. Dora, the Superior of the Convent as well as Sr. Flavia, the Headmistress congratulated and thanked the staff for observing this day and making them feel special. The programme then ended with a Pledge and the National Anthem.
