Jan 27: Bethany English Medium Higher Primary School, Kilpady, Mulki celebrated 75th Republic Day with great patriotism and zeal on 26th January 2024.
The programme began at 8.45am with prayer service praying for the country and its citizens. The chief guests for the day Ms. Sameeksha Bhaskar Hegde, Advocate and Alumna of Bethany Eng. Med. Hr. Pry. School, Kilpady; Mr. Vikas Shetty, President of Kilpady Gram Panchayat; Mr. Vishal Rachh, Proprietor of Prasad Book Distributors and Mrs. Jyothsana Dalmeida, PTA, Vice President. The programme was presided by the Headmistress Sr Rita Sharal.
The chief guest Ms. Sameeksha Bhaskar Hegde hoisted the National flag. The entire audience saluted the National flag with respect and pride to the tune of the national anthem. The Students sang patriotic songs which brought a sense of patriotism among all.
Raghavi and Fatima Zahra of Class V threw light on the significance of this great day.
The highlights of the day were the patriotic dances which transported the audience to the era of freedom struggle.
The chief guests addressed the students and urged them to do their best and feel proud to be an Indian. They motivated the students to be enlightened citizens of the country, to participate in the development and improvement of the society around them.
The programme was compered by Falak and Kansha of Class VII. Sr Sujatha welcomed the gathering and the vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Sameeksha.
Sweets were distributed at the end of the programme. The ambience was filled with fervor of gratitude and love for one’s nation.
