The Scouts and Guides, Cubs and Bulbuls of Bethany English Medium Higher Primary School, Kilpady, Mulki came together to celebrate the World Thinking Day on 22 February 2024. World Thinking day is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Lord Baden Powell, founder of the Boy Scout Movement, and Lady Olave Baden-Powell, who was World Chief Guide and also to appreciate the help and guidance of brother scouts and sister guides around the world and address all their concerns and to understand the true meaning of scouting and guiding. The theme for the World Thinking Day 2024 is “Our World, Our Thriving Future: The Environment and Global Poverty”.
The programme began with a ‘Sarwa Dharma Prayer’ invoking God’s blessings on the gathering. The significance of the day was shared by Raghavi.
The student of cubs and scouts sang a motivational song. The Headmistress of the school Sr. Rita Sharal addressed the gathering by her inspirational words and enlightened the students about World Thinking Day and the theme of the year.
On this occasion various competitions were conducted to the students. The Cubs and Bulbuls enlightened the importance of co-curricular and extracurricular activities through competition.
The programme was compered by Guide Fathima Zehera. The gathering was given a cheerful welcome by Guide Kansha and Scout Anveeth proposed the vote of thanks.
