Nov 29: The students of Class 8 to 10 of Maryvale English Medium High School Kinnigoli celebrated their decennial and annual day under the title “SANGAM”, on Tuesday the 29th of November 2016 on the school ground. Students as well as their parents were looking forward for this joyful day. The day began with the appearance of Little Angels on the dias in different costumes and attire performing dances, skit, singing and thus captivated the audience. The children received thunderous applause from the gathering for their angelic performance.
Rev. Sr Mariette BS, Secretary of Bethany Educational Society ® Mangalore presided over and Rev. Fr Vincent Monteiro Parish Priest of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church, Kinnigoli and Mr Jagadish Navada - CRP Padmanur Cluster were the Chief Guests.
During the celebration prizes were distributed to the winners of curricular and co-curricular activities held during the academic year. The top scorers of past 8 years were honoured with a memento. The former Headmistress Rev. Sr Roselyta BS and Rev. Sr Sagaya Selvi were honoured for their generous service for this institution.
Rev. Sr Mariette BS expressed her gratefulness to all the parents for being the stakeholders of Bethany and placing their children in the care of our institution.
Along with the guests of the day Sr Vithalis Lobo BS – Superior of Maryvale Convent, Sr. Divina BS - Correspondent of Maryvale High School, Mr Lawrence Sequeira – PTA Vice President, Mr Rahul Colin Fernandes – Vice President, Alumni Association and Sr Shanthi Agnes BS – Headmistress of Maryvale High School were present on the dias. Sr Divina BS –Correspondent welcomed the gathering. Sr Shanthi briefed about the School through the Annual Report. Mrs. Mable Priya Rodrigues and Mrs. Pramila, Miss. Alvisha Saldanha and Master Shawn Pais compered the programme. Mrs Anita Pais proposed the words of gratitude.
Students rocked the stage with their excellent performance on the topic “SANGAM”.
