April 29: On 29 April St Michael’s Convent High School was graced with the presence of students of IX and X and the new comers (VIII Std) along with their parents, teachers, SDMC members and well wishers. Everyone was eagerly waiting to enter into the portals of this sacred school. Melodious and rhythmic movement of band, brought students to the school accompanied by the Headmistress, Mrs Sushila Kasargod the Councillor of City Municipal Corporation, Dandeli, SDMC Members and teachers. Sr Renita Pinto-the Headmistress added colour to the gathering with her official welcome. The new academic year 2017-18 was formally inaugurated by lighting the Diya. The guests present wished well and called on the students to learn new things. Hard labour of teachers and SSLC toppers was applauded for their satisfactory achievements.
Thereafter new books were distributed to the students.
