June 30: On 30 June 2017 at 9.30a.m Rev. Sr Lillis BS (Delegate of Superior general) the Assistant Superior General of Bethany Congregation, the Vice President of BES and the Postulator of the Cause of the Beatification of Servant of God R.F.C. Mascarenhas visited Bethany Convent and Bethany Convent High School, Goa. Rev. Sr Lillis was accompanied by Rev. Sr Thresiamma and they were both accorded a warm welcome by the school band.
A short programme depicting Goan Culture was organized. Meritorious students were awarded prizes from the hands of Sr Lillis for their outstanding performance at the National Level in Art & Talent Search Examinations conducted by various organizations. Thereafter she addressed the staff and students and applauded them for their hard work, talent and encouraged every student to make the best use of their inborn talents. She visited the classes and interacted with students. In her interaction with the school staff, she asked the teachers of the pre-primary and primary section to observe and develop the missing skills of the students by developing the 3 H’s –Head, Heart and Hand in the students.
Sr Lillis transmitted characteristics of Bethanites by her life and interactions among teachers. She exhorted them to practice of equality and inculcate the same in the students under their care. We the sisters, staff and students are happy with the visit of Sr Lillis as the messenger of Christ love, peace, happiness and unity.
