Sep 1: ‘God loves a cheerful giver’. We owe our gratitude for the person of Sr Felcine Fernandes who rendered her generous service in the field of education for thirty seven years as a teacher and Headmistress in various schools. The send off Programme was held on 1st September at Holy Family High School, Bajpe. Sr Cicilia Mendonca, the Corporate Manager and Provincial Superior of Mangalore Province presided over the function. She appreciated Sr Felcine for her life of commitment and dedication, her zeal for mission, her soft nature and compassion towards the poor and the marginalized. Fr Praveen Joy her nephew who was present as a guest wished and invoked God’s Blessings on her and her future mission. Mrs Janet Lobo, the Education Co-ordination for Mangalore North block, representative of the educational department appreciated the good done and for the contribution of lions share in the field of education. Mr Lawrence Rebello, the well wisher of Holy Family High School recalled the name and fame of the school and good works accomplished through the person of Sr Felicne in the institutions.
