Oct 02: Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat and Department of Public Instruction, in association with Mangaluru North and Maryvale High School, Kinnigoli conducted the Taluk Level Sports and Games meet on 2 October 2017 at Mangala Stadium, Mangalore.
Without preparation you cannot perform yourselves, you cannot produce good results said Chief Whip of Legislative Council Mr Ivan D Souza while inaugurating the Taluk Level Sport Meet. As Education in the classroom, so also sports and games in the play ground are important, said MLC Ivan D’Souza.
“Participation is important than success, exhibit your skills in the events”, said Ms Kavitha Sanil, the Mayor, Mangalore City Corporation. She also wished good luck and success to all the participants and the organizers. Sr Mariola BS, the coordinator of education for Mangalore Province wished them well.
The students of Maryvale School, Kinnigoli performed a display and set a tone to the inauguration of sports and games events of Taluk Level. The event was declared open by flying three coloured balloons up in the sky.
Sr Divina BS welcomed the august gathering. Sr Shanti Agnes BS, the Headmistress of Maryvale High School presented a memento for the guest.
