Oct 30: The members of the Rotary Club of Berhampur had planned out a Mega event on the occasion of achieving success in the total eradication of Polio. They started an initiative to make an attempt for the Guinness Book of World Records by forming the image of the largest human foot print ever with a total participation of about 1800 school students.

It was a great opportunity for the students of St Vincent’s Convent School, Berhampur to be a part of this great event. The relentless efforts of all the teachers and the volunteers of the Rotary Club culminated in success when this tremendous feat was achieved on 24th October 2017 at Berhampur stadium in the presence of various dignitaries of Rotary Club, officials from the Asia Book of Records and India Book of Record, Sr Oliva, Principal, Sr Rosalia, Vice Principal, all the teachers, parents and other invitees.

We truly appreciate the hard work put in by the students from Std II to Std X who took part in this event. Prior to the event students from Std VI to Std X participated in a rally organized to observe this spectacular and momentous feat.  The hot and humid weather could not dampen the spirits of the enthusiastic students. Eventually the feat was achieved and duly validated by the officials i.e Mr Santanu Chouhan of Asia Book of Records and Mr Bhushan Chouhan of India Book of Records who were the adjudicators.

It was a unique experience for one and all that will remain etched in the minds of the students and teachers forever. This success also speaks volumes about the grit, determination, and indomitable spirit of the students and the team spirit with which they set upon this task. Kudos to the management, all the students, teachers and members of the Rotary Club!!
