Oct 31: “Experience the spirit filled life and live your life in fullness. Share life and celebrate life”.
Every child is a gift of God; we love and cherish their presence. Month of October was set aside for the celebration of Girl Child in our school. All the activities and days assembly was conducted concentrating on Girl child. Beautiful charts were prepared by our students and they were depicted on the walls. A talk on Child Rights was arranged on 19.10.2017.
Rev. Sr Rekha Lobo BS, the Superior of Santa Cruz convent, Kulshekar, the lawyer, was invited as a resource person to address the students. She elicited the rights, duties and safety of the children. She spoke on Awareness on safe touch and POSCO Act, also detailed information about the four rights of children was given. They are:
• right to protection
• right to survival
• right to participation
• right to development
They were made aware of the child help line organization and when and how to make good use of it. The resource person was welcomed by the Headmistress Sr Lavita BS and the vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs Sita the Assistant teacher.
