Nov 17: On 08.11.2017 Mothers of Class X students of St Mary’s HS, Arsikere assembled together for a get-together arranged by the Headmistress and staff. The meeting began at 10.30a.m with a prayer dance by the students of X Std Sr Cynthia presided over this meet. Dr Latha Rajesh, one of the parents, was the speaker who stressed on role of the mother and her influence on the child. “Children are good imitators. They need to be guided, to be good, by keeping a close watch, with sufficient freedom”. She further discussed the harm and the addiction to the cell phones and watching the television. Sr Cynthia advised the parents to be in touch with their children by accompanying them in their studies and spending quality time with them. The students sang two songs on appreciation of mother and motherhood. Later the mothers went through the progress report of their children. Sufficient time was provided to them to meet the teachers and to view the progress of their children. It was a good move to connect mothers with the school.
