Dec 14: Yellow Day celebration was held on 8 December 2017 at St Joseph’s High School, K.R. Nagar.  The members of the Eco Club with the guidance of their teachers Mrs Deepashree, Mrs Rashmi and Mr Lokesh organized this Yellow Day programme in the school.


The programme was inaugurated with a unique dance and drama portraying the importance of nature. As part of the inaugural ceremony the chief guest Mrs Kavitha Vijaya Kumar, the Town Municipal President was made to water a plant sapling along with Town Municipal Chief Officer Mr Nagashetty, Mr Jagadeesh, co-coordinator of Swatch Bharath, Sr Simon, the Correspondent & Superior and Sr Betty the Headmistress.


The students put up a meaningful programme. Various skits were put up to show how nature is helping us and how we have to protect nature. When we destroy Nature by polluting it then it creates an adverse effect on the lives of human beings and the Ecosystem. The students demonstrated as to how we can prepare useful and attractive decorative materials with waste (Kasadinda Rasa), and spoke on types of pollution, environment and our role to protect it.


Mr Jagadeesh, the Coordinator of Swatch Bharath gave a speech and showed few videos as to how we can keep our city clean by keeping our home and surrounding clean. Sr Betty, the Headmistress Congratulated the teachers and students for their meaningful and creative programme.
