Jan 12: On 6th and 7th of Jan 2018 the Bharath Scouts Guides Karnataka, Local Association Surathkal and Holy Family High School, jointly organized two days programme at Holy Family High School Bajpe. Three hundred Scouts-Guides and Cub-Bul Buls gathered together along with Scout Masters, Guide Leaders, Cub Masters and Flock Leaders .
Sr Cicilia Mendonca, the Corporate Manager of Bethany Educational Society Mangalore Province and Provincial Superior inaugurated the rally. She called upon everyone to inculcate the values and build up love for Nation and promote peace and justice. She emphasized upon the discipline which is learnt through such organization like Scouts and Guides which helps one to be good and do good. The Motto of Scouts and Guides ‘Be Prepared’ is a clarion call for readiness and willingness for better world. Mr.N.G Mohan Scouts Guides Commissioner, Mrs Asha Nayak Block Recourse Officer, Mr Durga Prasad Hegde President Bus Association, Sr Marie Lyta, the Correspondent were present on the dais.
Swach Bharath procession was held soon at 5 pm in Bajpe town after which the Bajpe town was cleaned along with the prominent personalities who supported the great venture to it success. Mr S. Parashiva Murthy S.I, Bajpe, Mr Mohammad Sharif Vice President of Grama Panchayath, Mr Roy Prakash Simson, Simson Gun House, Mr Arun Bhanadari, President Rotary Club, Bajpe were present and joined hands in Swach Bharath.
Sr Lolita Pereira, the In-Charge Headmistress of Holy Family High School, Bajpe and the Convener of the entire rally took great interest in organizing good programme. Sr Marie Lyta, the Correspondent of the school supported this rally in full measure.
