Dec 06: It was a wonderful occasion witnessing the Inaugural Function of the Platinum Jubilee Celebration of Bethany Educational Society on the 19th of November 2022 in Mary Mount School, Tlangnuam, Aizawl. The programme was graced by our Corporate Manager and Provincial Superior Sr. Lucious B.S along with Sr Shanthi the Headmistress .sisters of Mary Mount Convent and esteemed guests from other communities. The much- anticipated event was an honest acknowledgement of the hardships that came along in fulfilling the vision of our Founding Father the most Reverend Mgr Raymond Francis Camillus Mascharenhas. This serene event was organized by the Headmistress, Sisters and staff of Mary Mount School, Aizawl.
Provincial Superior and Corporate Manager, Silchar Province, the Headmistress and sisters were welcomed with a guard of honor by the Scouts and Guides which was followed by the hoisting of the Jubilee flag, planting of the Jubilee sapling by the Corporate Manager Sr. Lucious, Sr Shanthi the Headmistress, Sr. Sylvia the former Headmistress which was followed by releasing the celebratory balloons by Sr Lucious, sisters, teachers Scouts and Guides and the House leaders. Later the dignitaries were ceremoniously led to the hall where the main programme was organized. At the very outset invited God to be with us by lighting Diya. This was followed by the most auspicious event of the day that was the unveiling of the Platinum Jubilee Logo by the Corporate Manager, sisters and teachers. There were cultural exhibits, choir, dances and a skit depicting the journey of BES and its Core Values to bring out the vision of “Transformative Education for Fullness of Life”. The most prominent person of the day, Sr. Lucious, delivered an inspiring speech underlining the importance of teamwork and perseverance. The programme was concluded with a note of thanks followed by School Anthem.
