Sacred Heart Convent and School, Ludhiana, rejoices in the celebration of the great day – 5 September 2016 – the day when Sr Mirabelle was conferred with the ‘Life Time Achievement Award’ by the Education Minister, Punjab Dr Daljit Singh Cheema for her selfless contribution to the people of Ludhiana through education and community service for over 51 years. She has been honoured with a Gold medal, Citation and Shawl. Rupees One lac is also announced for her. It was a befitting tribute to Sr Mirabelle on this day as the day coincided with the sainthood of Mother Teresa. Sr Mirabelle, a personification of compassion and zeal to continue on the noble path is an inspiration to the Bethany Educational Society and the staff. At the age of 97 it’s her strong will power that makes her continue her daily routine independently despite the hip surgery which she underwent recently. Sr Mirabelle is a living example of carrying forward the mission of Father Founder, Servant of God Mgr Raymond Francis Camillus Mascarenhas; the radiance that ensues from her face is a testimony to the spiritual aura that surrounds her and influences everyone in the vicinity of the Sacred Heart Convent and School.
