Mumukshu Mittal of class IX-B won the first prize in under 17 boys Ludhiana district Chess Championship - 2017 held on April 8th and 9th. He had also participated in the u-15 in open Chess Championship held at Udaipur from 30th March to 4th April, 2017 bagging 2nd prize. He has been winning championships year after year. In the year 2017 he has won the following.
a. 1st position in Punjab State Team Chess Championship held by Punjab State Chess Association from 21-22 January.
b. 1st position in u-19 boys District Chess Championship held by District Class Association on 26th & 27th January.
c. 2nd position in open category held by District Chess Association on 28th & 29th January.
d. 3rd position in u-15 State Chess Championship held by Sangrur District Chess Association.
