St Rita Hr Primary School was blessed by Rev. Fr Ignatius Lobo the Parish Priest of St Antony’s Shrine and renamed as St Rita’s Hr Pry School on 22nd May, the feast of St Rita from a single teacher Government School, which was already there. The former Headmaster Mr Shambappa handed over the charge to the Sisters. It was under the management of the parish for some years. Sr Annunciata was the first Headmistress of the School. There were good admissions to our School. The Inspectors who visited the School were pleased with the discipline and up to date maintenance of the school records. They were also pleased with the selfless services of sisters so the school was admitted to Grant In Aid within four years. As the years past there were good admissions from the neighbouring villages. Due to the rise of good admission a new block was constructed.

At present we have ten spacious class rooms with separate office room and a Computer room. The school has good reputation over the years. Though it’s a rural area students are smart and active in sports and other co-curricular activities. There is a good rapport with the Education Department, teacher and parents.

Now the strength is declining in our school due to the rise of the English Medium School in the neighbourhood.
