Bethany Higher Primary / High School, Bilagula, Mudigere

School is a place in which the creativity, self-confidence, courage are born and made it to bloom. To tap the hidden talents from children and to build a just and humane society Bethany Primary School came into existence in 2006-07 at Bilagula, Mudigere Taluk. The year 2006 added another branch to the tree of St Martha’s group of Institutions.

The School began on 1st June 2006 with the strength of 29 students in a rented building blessed   by Rev Fr Benjemin Aranha in the presence of sisters. Sr Lisia was the Correspondent, Sr Treena as Headmistress and Sr Margaret Pannakar as the Assistant Teacher. Since there was lack of space classes were shifted to another rented building. With the support of well-wishers, benefactors and great spirited students the school spread its fragrance everywhere. Later the Management purchased the site at Bilagula on 30th May 2010.

 The new building was solemnly inaugurated by Sr Wliberta on 10th February 2012 by the then Superior General and Bethany KG classeswere shifted to this new building. Sr Gratina was the Headmistress at this time and in 2013 Sr Maria Flora took over as the Headmistress. At this time the student strength was beyond 300 and currently there are 522 students in Primary School alone.

Lot of importance is given to activities and study as well. During the assembly the Holy Scriptures are read. Through value education classes values are inculcated. Recitation of core values is done. Cabinet is formed to instil leadership qualities in them.

Let Bethany School grow, bloom, blossom by the blessings of almighty God and revered Founder. May we keep his flame alive and bring out enlightened children for the society around!

Sir Will Durant says that, “Education is the progressive discovery of our ignorance.” Education is the only one weapon by which we can eradicate the ignorance in our society. To make it true the Bethany Management worked hard and began in the current year 2016-17 in spite of many hurdles from the Education Department. We are very grateful to all who gave us support while going ahead. It was a proud moment as Mr Ningaiah MLA of MudigereinauguratedIX Stdin the year -17. He inspired us with his noble thoughts.
Our students already participated at the zonal level in Prathibha Karanji and have bagged prizes in various cultural and sports events as well conducted by the Education Department. We are thankful to Bethany Educational Society for their constant support and encouragement.
