The origin of the school goes back to 1934. This school was started by Railway to cater to the needs of Tamil students and it was a Tamil medium School. Later on it was taken up by the diocese of Chikmagalore.  In 1969 the then Parish priest Fr. Mathias Noronha Requested Mother Macrina to take over the school.  In 1969 It was changed into Kannada medium and sisters from St. Mary’s Convent travelled up and down to give their services to the School. From 1971 onwards sisters rented the house near the School, on 15th September 1974 this School was handed over to Bethany Educational Society. We cater to the needs of the very poor students of the locality giving them the value based education from then onwards.
