School is an institution where we build on Children’s strengths and celebrate their achievements helping children recognize their accomplishments and experience the joy of learning, all the while equipping them to face challenges in life. The need for setting up a co-ed school in the city of Mangalore was important, because of the lack of these schools at a time when the demand for good education was clearly evident. So, St Theresa’s School was established in 1996 under the Management of the Bethany Educational Society, inspired by our Father Founder, Rev Fr R.F.C Mascarenhas.

The institution was headed by Sr Shilpa BS when it first began, with very few students and teachers. The friendly atmosphere and the care taken by the Principals and teachers attracted the people who sought admission of their children to the institution. The school rapidly gained fame because of the tireless efforts of the Principals and the staff in bringing about progress in all fields of education. As the school grew, activities and competitions increased students and teachers actively participated in many of the Inter-school competitions. Over the years children have improved academically and spiritually through a comprehensive value based education. In this pursuit parents have played a vital role in motivating their children. 

The school has withstood the test of time growing rapidly and effectively as Class X batches have brought laurels to the institution through their hard work and dedication. We owe our success to the blessings showered upon us by the Almighty and continue to seek Divine Providence as we steer the institution to greater heights.
