Madeleine Girls High School was established in the year 1946. Miss Alice Pinto was the first Headmistress. Due to the pressing need of the locality specially the Catholics this Institution was established in particular to impart value based education to the girls. The institution received its permanent recognition in the year 1958 and was brought under grant in aid in the year1948. Currently Sr Vidya is the Headmistress.
According to the strength of students two sections were opened for 8th, 9th and 10thstd. In 1996the institution celebrated its golden jubilee. The school has a cooperative PTA and Alumni Association. Counselling facility is availed to the students once a week and students make use of this opportunity to seek guidance and help from the councillor
