The Little Flower High School, Kinnigoli was the first high school built only for girls, under the Bethany Educational Society. With joy and jubilations, the school building was blessed and inaugurated on 02-06-1941 by Msgr. R.F.C. Mascarenhas the Founder of our Congregation of the sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany Mangalore. The first Headmistress of this newly started High School was Miss Jessy Fernandes. It is really a land mark and achievement, in the history of Bethany Congregation to provide education for the girls of this area.

The other Headmistresses who have served are Mrs Bhavani Amin, Mr C. Sanjiva Rao, Sr Bertha BS, Sr Lilia BS, Sr Hyacinth BS, Sr Oliva BS, Sr Concetta BS, Sr Marie Ange BS, Sr Gladys BS, Sr Winjoy BS, Sr Aquilla BS, Sr Reena BS and currently Sr Leera Maria. They along with their Staff make strenuous efforts to excel in education both in quality and quantity and cater to the intellectual, moral and spiritual formation of the young in this materialistic world of today.

The High school was exclusively meant for girls and boys had to go to distant places. Local dignitaries appealed to the authorities to extend admission to boys too. This appeal was accepted and from 1988, boys were admitted in the High School. In this way Little Flower High School has developed step by step taking into account the need and requirement of the area. The school is taking care of the economically weak and poor students.

Thousands of students have passed through the portals of this Institution, many of whom rendering credible service to the society and to the nation at large. We are very proud to say that one of our Little Flower Ex- student has the representation in the Civil Services of India in Michelle Queeni D’Costa, who has secured the 387^th Rank in the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC), popularly called Civil Services Examination this year 2016-17.We congratulate Michelle on her achievement and wish her a brilliant career in the service of the nation – a great achievement indeed. Many of our Ex-Flowerets have embraced a life of prayer and sacrifice in various religious Congregations, both in India and Abroad, in the service of humanity. It has been a cradle of many a religious vocation to Bethany and to other Congregation.
