Our Lady of Miracles Bethany Matriculation School, Annai Nagar was started in the year 2010.  This school is situated close to the Arabian Sea, mainly to provide basic education to the children of Tsunami affected families in and around Annai Nagar coastal village. In the year 2009 we the Bethany sisters were invited by the Diocese of Kottar to take care of the elementary school of the parish and in future to hand over the school to us  if we are willing.
 
After a year of our working with the diocese we took up the school in the year 2010 with 123 students on roll and 8 teaching staff and 2 non-teaching staff. The initial year of the institution was handled by Rev. Sr Vinitha Priya with the support of the then Correspondent Sr. Jane Joseph. At present the school consists of 715 students from Pre-K.G to X with 40 staff. It is purely a mission oriented school imbued with the spirit of our Funder the Servant of God RFC Mascarenhas.
The K.G section, the wellspring of our strength is constantly stocked up with increasing admission every year. There are now 193 tiny tots who keep the campus lively. We endow them with special coaching in dance music, Karete, chilampam, Chess, Yoga and other activities to bring out their nascent talents. Digitalized class rooms make the tiny tots open to the world of technology at a tender age, making learning more effective and fascinating. The budding stars are given plentiful opportunities to bring out their preeminent through activities and participation. Various competitions such as talent day competitions, little stars competition etc. help them to bring out their best in life.  

Not only in the class room have we wanted our students to bring out their talents but outside the class room too. In this respect co-curricular activities assume primary importance and no opportunities are spared when the welfare of students becomes our primary concern. The campus is always found busy engaged in various programmes and activities that provide our students manifold prospects. We have co-curricular activities such as music, dance, taekwondo, yoga, drawing, chess, chilampam and Band set. We give lot of importance to physical education training. Our students take part in the various completions conducted by the matriculation board as well as the state Board. Every year we have state level participants from our school.  Digitalized class room systems provide them an opportunity to have a precise idea of what they learn.

Through language lab we are able to bring up the communication skill of the students to a greater extent and sending daily home work of their wards to the parents through SMS, installing CCTV in all the class rooms and important places added feathers to the institution
We give greater significance to the spiritual growth of our students. We begin the day with 10 minutes Meditation and end the day in gratitude to God. Children are trained to maintain perfect silence through yoga and meditation, thus maximum opportunities are provided to the students to grow as wholesome person. The entire strength is divided into four groups and all the activities are conducted based on these groups. Students along with their directors labor hard to prove their capacities and energies. Indeed they are getting a suitable atmosphere to exercise their potentials and capabilities. I can resolutely say that their being in this institution is a blessing to their future life and career. In order to cater to the need of the students and to provide them conducive atmosphere to study, we have a beautiful infrastructure with all the facilities. We have a well-furnished library with more 6000 books. Children are encouraged to equip themselves with new explorations.

I can feel the spirit of God guiding us as we venture into any activity. I am ever grateful to God for the strong support of my staff, students and parents. May God bless our entire mission with bountiful harvest.
