Feb 13: Confident, wide – eyed, raring the explore students of Jyothi PU College ushered in their Graduation Day on 1st Feb 2018. Elegantly draped in cream and gold sarees, the girls were perfect head turners and the boys in blazers were a handsome lot indeed.
The ceremony began with a prayer service followed by motivational videos to encourage our students to uphold the tradition and ethos of our institution in a modern world. To dream big and dare to achieve.
Our Principal Sr Georgina stressed on the importance of the 5 C’s in their life – Character, Courage, Calmness, Conviction, and Commitment. She praised the college faculty and staff on their relentless efforts to transform lives through the sharing and application of knowledge. It was a solemn moment when the principal passed on the light to the college reps, who in turn lit the candles of their fellow graduating students.
Diana Charles gave a beautiful speech on her experience as a student in this college. Toppers of previous batch were felicitated and honoured with cash prizes. A short video clip made by students summarized the various events held in college, pictures of fun laughter’s and togetherness brought a tear to every eye.
Finally with a little tinge in the heart, it was time to bid farewell to our outgoing students, However life must move on and students were blessed in abundance with wishes for a bright future ahead.
